Visa Information

Do I need a visa to travel to Greece?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality.
Greece is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Citizens of
Schengen countries generally do not require a visa for short stays. Participants
travelling from countries outside the Schengen Area may require a visa to enter
Greece.
We strongly recommend that you check the applicable entry requirements well in
advance of your travel.

Can I request a visa invitation letter?
Yes. If you require an invitation letter to support your visa application, please indicate
this in the appropriate section of the online Registration Form.
Invitation letters are issued only to delegates who have completed their registration
and paid the applicable registration fee.

When will I receive my invitation letter?
Invitation letters are prepared and sent after both your registration and payment have
been successfully completed.

— Please allow a few business days for your request to be processed. —

How can I find out if I need a visa?
Please consult the nearest Greek Embassy or Consulate in your country or visit the
website of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the most up-to-date visa
requirements.

Does an invitation letter guarantee that my visa will be approved?
No. An invitation letter is issued solely to support your visa application and does not
guarantee that a visa will be granted. The final decision rests exclusively with the
relevant embassy or consulate.

Do I need travel insurance?
Participants requiring a visa are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and
medical insurance covering emergency medical care, travel disruptions and other
unforeseen circumstances during their stay in Greece.
